RISE at Nocatee, the 55-and-older apartment community inside the Nocatee master-planned development near Ponte Vedra Beach, turned two on Sept. 2, and marked the milestone with a new community manager and a local honor.

Gina Hansen, who has worked in Nocatee since 2021 and joined RISE in 2024, now leads the property as community manager, the Ponte Vedra Recorder reported. The community also celebrated being named Best of the Best Retirement Community in Ponte Vedra at the anniversary gathering.

The Recorder runs an annual Best of the Best readers' choice contest covering ZIP codes 32082 and 32081, now in its eighth year.

Residents and Staff Celebrate the Milestone

Residents, staff and guests gathered for the Sept. 2 event, which featured cocktails, food and live music.

"I looked around that night and thought, this is what community is supposed to feel like," Hansen told the Recorder.

Hansen said becoming community manager felt like a natural next step after years of building relationships in Nocatee. She described her goals as listening to residents, growing the community and maintaining the personal feel she said residents value.

Property Details and Available Floor Plans

The property is two buildings. One stands four stories, the other five. Developed and managed by RISE: A Real Estate Company, the community offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments ranging from 683 square feet to 1,538 square feet, according to the community's website.

Manager Aims to Preserve Close-Knit Feel

Hansen told the Recorder she wants the community to keep growing without losing its close-knit atmosphere. Resident programming listed on the RISE website includes birthday celebrations, social hours, game nights and holiday events.

The anniversary celebration was the community's first since Hansen stepped into the manager role, and she said she plans to keep building on what residents have created over the past two years.
