St. Johns County Commissioner Krista Joseph met with residents at The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach on Thursday, Sept. 17, to discuss local concerns.

Joseph, who represents District 4, spoke to the Plantation Croquet Discussion Group by invitation, according to the county's recap of the event.

The county said the discussion covered four topics: Amendment 3 and changes to the homestead exemption, overbuilding, Ponte Vedra road changes and what the county described as "the e-bike issue."

The county's recap did not provide details about Joseph's remarks or positions on those four topics.

Tim Cavers, a member of the discussion group, praised the event.

"On behalf of the Plantation Croquet Discussion Group, I want to thank you for an enlightening and fun evening … I thought there was excellent discussion about the topics," Cavers said in a statement published by the county.

E-bikes have come up at other neighborhood meetings

E-bikes have been a recurring subject at Joseph's meetings with residents.

Joseph also discussed e-bike regulations and traffic concerns during an April 2025 meeting with the Marsh Landing Homeowners Association, according to a separate county summary.

Joseph represents St. Johns County Commission District 4, which includes Ponte Vedra Beach and other northeastern portions of the county.
