The 19th DONNA 5K returns to TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach on Saturday, Oct. 10, closing the 2026 Fearless Series during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The DONNA Foundation announced the race and a slate of October fundraising events Thursday, Oct. 1. THE PLAYERS Championship and the Chartrand family are backing a $15,000 matching gift challenge tied to the DONNA 5K fundraising campaign, doubling donations dollar for dollar up to $15,000.

Amanda Napolitano, executive director of The DONNA Foundation, said the month is about more than pink ribbons.

"October shines a light on breast cancer, but the people we serve live with its impact every day," Napolitano said. "That's why our work has always been about more than awareness. It's about showing up with hope, support, and real financial relief when a family needs it most."

The 5K starts at 8:30 a.m. on the PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach. Runners and walkers will cover the course's back nine. It is the third and final race of the 2026 DONNA Fearless Series, presented by Wingard Marketing + Communications.

Registration is $45 through Monday, Oct. 5, and increases to $50 beginning Tuesday, Oct. 6.

Participants receive a finisher medal, gender-sized finisher shirt, goodie bag and chip timing with age-group awards, along with access to the Athletes' Village for pre- and post-race activities.

The foundation was started in 2003 by Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan, a three-time breast cancer survivor who launched the DONNA race series in 2008. Over the past year, the DONNA CareLine served more than 900 patients, providing $450,000 in financial services and debt relief, including $67,000 in direct financial aid.

Since its founding, the organization has served more than 22,000 patients and families, provided more than $7 million in financial services and debt relief through the DONNA CareLine and contributed more than $3.3 million to breast cancer research.

Beyond the 5K, the foundation's October calendar includes "Beyond Awareness: A Breast Health Conversation," a free event with Mayo Clinic on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at First Place Sports Baymeadows.

The fifth annual DONNA 110 Mile-a-Day Challenge began Oct. 1 and encourages participants to walk one mile a day for 110 days leading up to DONNA Marathon Weekend.

Official half-marathon training through the Jeff Galloway Training Programs begins Saturday, Oct. 17, using the run-walk-run method created by Olympian Jeff Galloway, who co-founded the marathon.

The Oct. 10 race also marks the countdown to the 20th running of DONNA Marathon Weekend, scheduled for Feb. 5-7, 2027, at the Jacksonville Beaches. The anniversary event, themed "Love in Motion," will include a marathon, half marathon, 5K, DONNA Dash and other events.

More than 300,000 athletes have crossed DONNA finish lines over the past two decades, according to the foundation.
