Stephanie and Logan Ridley are opening a reformer Pilates studio at Marketplace at Nocatee, bringing a second BODYBAR Pilates franchise to the Jacksonville area.

The couple, who live in the Twenty Mile at Nocatee neighborhood, expect to open BODYBAR Pilates Nocatee by the end of August, according to the Ponte Vedra Recorder. The studio is at 75 Irondale Road, Unit 203, inside the Publix-anchored shopping center off Valley Ridge Boulevard on the west side of Nocatee Town Center.

A building permit reported by the Jacksonville Daily Record on April 23 listed the tenant build-out at 2,640 square feet and $297,000. Coastal Building Group Inc. is the contractor.

The space will hold 14 reformers, the sliding-carriage machines used in resistance-based Pilates. A retail boutique selling athletic wear will sit next to the workout floor, according to a Nocatee community announcement from the PARC Group, Nocatee's master developer.

The Ridleys already operate BODYBAR Pilates Mandarin in Jacksonville, which opened in approximately summer 2025. They told the Recorder they plan to keep expanding in the Jacksonville area.

Stephanie Ridley said she first tried Pilates 15 years ago while living in Virginia Beach. Both she and Logan later used reformer Pilates during physical therapy for sports injuries. After moving to Nocatee, they decided the community lacked a reformer Pilates option and settled on the BODYBAR brand.

"Take a leap, come check out a class," Ridley told the Recorder, encouraging newcomers not to feel intimidated.

The studio will offer seven class formats, from foundational technique sessions to high-intensity cardio and recovery workouts, according to the BODYBAR Pilates website. The Ridleys said they plan to add more locations across the Jacksonville area beyond the Nocatee studio.
