Asado Life, the Argentinian-inspired restaurant born from a garage grill, is coming to Nocatee.

Owner Nick Carrera's live-fire concept signed a lease at Nocatee Town Center for a 3,415-square-foot space at 100 Marketside Avenue, No. 301, the Jacksonville Daily Record reported Thursday, Aug. 27. The space sits at the intersection of Nocatee Parkway and Crosstown Parkway, in the former Dick's Wings location.

The Nocatee restaurant will be Asado Life's third Northeast Florida location, joining its St. Augustine flagship at 173 Asado Way and a Downtown Jacksonville spot that opened in late August at 5 Tower Court in the Jacksonville Shipyards.

No opening date has been announced for the Nocatee location.

Eric Apple, senior leasing agent at Regency Centers, which manages Nocatee Town Center, said Asado Life has become a Northeast Florida favorite. "Their growth from St. Augustine to their new downtown location, and now to Nocatee, speaks to exactly the kind of quality, community-driven concept we set out to bring to this center for the Nocatee and Ponte Vedra community," Apple said.

Carrera and his wife, Christie, started the business as Urban Asado, a live-fire grill company they launched from their garage in 2014, according to the restaurant's website as cited by the Daily Record. They opened the St. Augustine brick-and-mortar location in 2022. The restaurant features communal fire grilling with scratch-made ingredients and Argentinian-inspired cooking methods.

The Downtown Jacksonville location, announced in September 2025 by Iguana Investments, seats about 140 guests with indoor and patio seating overlooking the St. Johns River. It opened for lunch service and plans to add dinner starting Friday, Sept. 18, according to the Florida Times-Union.

The Nocatee lease is the latest addition to the Town Center's restaurant lineup, though the space still requires buildout before Asado Life can open its doors.
