Two Halloween events land in Ponte Vedra over the next few days, giving families and thrill-seekers a chance to celebrate before Oct. 31.

Trunk of Treats at Nocatee

First Baptist Church at Nocatee hosts its Trunk of Treats on Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 1770 Valley Ridge Blvd. in Ponte Vedra.

The family-friendly event features nearly 40 candy-filled trunks along with costumes and food trucks selling meals on site, according to the church's event page. Registration takes place at a welcome tent.

Families should bring trick-or-treat bags. No admission fee is listed on the event page.

ESTUSCARY Haunted Trail

The Friends of GTM Research Reserve host the ESTUSCARY Haunted Trail on Thursday, Oct. 29, and Friday, Oct. 30, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. each night at the South Beach Access Parking Lot in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Tickets cost $20 online or $30 at the trail, according to the organizer's event page. The trail is recommended for ages 10 and older. Costumes are welcome, and closed-toe shoes are recommended.

The event includes scares, surprises and festive activities along the trail each evening, according to the organizer page. Parking is available at the South Beach Access Parking Lot.

Volunteers ages 15 and older can sign up to help as scare actors, creature performers, trail monsters or guides. Community service hours are available for volunteers. Groups, clubs and individuals are all welcome.

Those interested in volunteering can email Abby Kuhn at [email protected].

The haunted trail runs two nights only. It does not take place on Oct. 31.
