Twenty golfers who earned PGA Tour cards through the Korn Ferry Tour reported to Ponte Vedra Beach for a two-day orientation at tour headquarters.

The session included media training and a packed schedule, according to AP reporting published by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. The players had three days to celebrate earning their cards before the work began.

The graduating class spans a wide range of backgrounds. Blades Brown, 19, is the youngest Korn Ferry Tour graduate in history. He turned pro while still a junior in high school.

Hunter Eichhorn grew up in Carney in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, population 182. He learned the game at Wild Pines, a nine-hole public course where it costs $15 to walk, cash only in an honor box. He played scramble rounds there with his grandfather, Steve Pipkorn. In the 2026 Korn Ferry Tour season, Eichhorn posted nine top-10 finishes to secure his tour card.

"We have one caution light, actually," Eichhorn said of his hometown, correcting a question about growing up in a one-stoplight town.

Ian Gilligan was diagnosed with anaplastic large cell lymphoma at 15. He completed about seven months of chemotherapy and played his first Korn Ferry Tour event 14 months after the diagnosis. Gilligan attended Long Beach State and then the University of Florida, leaving as No. 4 in the PGA Tour University ranking.

Ross Steelman finished No. 1 in Korn Ferry Tour points this year. He sports a full sleeve of tattoos on his left arm and pastel purple nail polish on two fingers. The polish started as a favor for his girlfriend testing a new color. He finished second that week and kept it going, ABC News reported.

Alvaro Ortiz, a 30-year-old from Mexico and former Arkansas Razorback, won twice on the Korn Ferry Tour this year to earn his card. His brother, Carlos Ortiz, left for LIV Golf in 2022, and his path back to the PGA Tour remains unclear.

Tommy Morrison stands 6-foot-9 and won in his fourth start as a pro on the Korn Ferry Tour. Sandy Scott of Scotland locked up his card with a late-season run that included two consecutive victories.

The orientation took place at PGA Tour headquarters along the same Ponte Vedra Beach corridor as TPC Sawgrass. Exact dates for the two-day session were not specified in published reports.
